1. Who we are
SiteKat is owned and operated by JCBlock Building Services, LLC. This policy explains how we handle information in connection with the SiteKat construction documentation app, website and support services. For privacy questions, contact support@sitekat.com or visit /support.

 

2. Information you provide
We process the account and profile information you provide, which may include your address, phone number, ZIP code and state, project details, daily and incident reports, photographs, videos and other submitted content, and messages sent to support. Reports and media may contain information about you or others. Street addresses are kept private. Provide only content you are authorized to share and avoid unnecessary sensitive information.

 

3. Location, device permissions and technical records
SiteKat shares basic geographic location with weather services to provide local weather information. You can manage location and other device permissions in your device settings. Camera and photo-library access support capture or selection of media when you use those features. The existing in-app privacy notice describes limited telemetry used to improve app performance. Technical records used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service may include device/app version, errors and service activity.

 

4. Why we use information
Account and profile information, including ZIP code and state, is collected to support a planned feature for connecting users with nearby contractors. The planned nearby-contractor search feature uses ONLY ZIP code and state for geographic matching, not street address or phone number. Users can choose NOT to disclose ZIP code and state location information; this may limit nearby search results. The feature is planned and is not available at launch. We use information to authenticate and manage accounts, provide projects and reports, host and deliver submitted content, generate exports, supply weather information, respond to support requests, maintain security, troubleshoot problems and comply with applicable obligations. Consistent with our existing in-app notice, we do not sell your personal information. Registered email addresses are used to look up users within the Firebase database. Users may choose to share their profile page and email address. Information they choose to share may be seen and used by the recipients they share it with.

 

5. Providers and sharing
SiteKat uses Google Firebase for app data hosting and Wix for this website. Providers process the information needed to deliver their services under applicable data-processing and security obligations. Basic geographic location is shared with weather services for weather information. Apple processes App Store purchases under its own policies; subscription status or transaction information may be used to enable purchased features. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and security, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable protections. 6. Data storage and security
SiteKat app data is currently stored in the United States. Information sent to website, weather, transaction or support providers may be handled according to their service arrangements. We use safeguards designed to protect information, but no service or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep appropriate copies of important records and exports.

 

7. Retention and account deletion
Users can delete their accounts. You can also contact support@sitekat.com to request access, correction or deletion of your information. We may verify identity and authority before acting on a request. We retain information while needed to provide services and for legitimate security, legal and recordkeeping needs. Some information may be retained where legally required or necessary to resolve disputes or prevent abuse; backups may follow a separate deletion cycle. Account deletion does not itself cancel an Apple subscription; manage cancellation separately through Apple.

 

8. Cookies and your choices
The website uses cookies and similar technologies for the functions and optional features enabled on the site. Where available, use website cookie preferences and browser settings to manage choices. Optional analytics or marketing features should be disclosed and controlled as required. You can update available profile information, manage device permissions and contact support about your information. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of information, or object to or restrict processing. We handle requests as required by applicable law. You may also contact the relevant privacy regulator.

 

9. Children and policy updates
SiteKat is designed for professional construction documentation and is not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. We may update this policy and revise the date. Material changes will be notified, and consent requested, where required.
